Variety at Bredon Classic Car Rally
Mike visits a charity show that attracts a great mix of cars.
The 14th Bredon Vintage and Classic Car Rally saw a wide variety of cars taking to the field at Bredon Cricket Club in Tewkesbury.
One of the show organisers Ted Elwes was delighted with the turnout, “last year we had about 320 cars but I think this year we’ve got over 400, and crowd numbers seem to be up on 2009 too,” he said.
A lot of the show’s appeal is the amount of cars rarely seen at other events that make a point of coming to Bredon. And that, through intelligent marshalling, it is possible for cars to arrive later in the day, hours after the show has opened and still be able to park safely on the field.
The show is a charitable event, held by the Rotary Club of Tewkesbury, and all proceeds go to Rotary charities with no admin fees or paid staff.

Here’s a selection of the classics on display:

One of the rarest cars on display was this Ford 10 Tourer, its owner believes no more than five remain worldwide.

Stripped down Ford Model T is as basic as motoring gets, this really does have only the bare essentials.
