Default Drive it Day: How was yours?

Despite the frankly awful weather down here I made it to the Bristol and West Classic Car Show at Shepton Mallet.

The show seemed really busy despite the rain, it was total opposite of last year when I drove up there topless in an MG (apologies if you're reading this while eating!)

Great day, spotted some lovely metal on the way up and down. Loving the fact that the show season is back again!

What did you do?

Had a good drive out with the Borders Vintage Auto Club. Took the Rover 2000 with wife and dog and covered around 60 miles for the day. We were joined by the Edinburgh branch of the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club. Must've been around 20 cars in all so a good day out. Weather was mostly dry so bonus there too

Actually, for the first time in a few years I didn't take any pictures at all . Guess I was enjoying the driving and the banter too much....

It completely passed me by without me remembering it was Drive it Day! I doubt I would have gone out in the car given the weather. I did see a number of Dutch and Belgian registered cars drive through my village on a classic rally of some kind.
Coincidentally, I started up the TR on Sunday just to keep it running as it is so long since I have been out in it!!

The weather was really bad on Sunday, wasn't it? Still it was surprising the amount of cars I saw out and about.

I went to the Shepton Mallet show too ,had not been before, was great, much shorter drive for me and I enjoyed it more than the MG show near Stratford.
